Film Metropolis 2018 will open for short film submissions in May 2018. The theme is NAVIGATING THE NEW NORMAL in Human Rights issues and is wide open to any kind of short film and open to anyone to enter. Most importantly, we want engaging narrative and a structured piece of work with good storytelling and strong production values. Installations and conceptual films are not suitable, films from the more standard genres of broadcast such as drama, documentary, comedy and entertainment are invited to submit.
Guidelines For Submitting Your Film
Here’s what we were looking for:
- Completed films up to 20 minutes in duration that focus on strong storytelling, high production values and engaging content.
- Screening copies accepted only via a link to uploaded film on Vimeo.
- Your film does not have to be in full HD quality, just the best quality possible.
- Remember to provide a direct link to your film and the correct password. Please make sure the video is accessible to Film Metropolis until 13th August 2018. If you change the password of the link please inform us as soon as possible.
- Please note, films with excessive bad language or gratuitous or sexual imagery will not be considered.
- Due to the volume of entries received, Film Metropolis cannot offer individual critiques of declined films.
The application process will be announced in May of 2018 and close at midnight on Friday 6th July 2018.
